Information on the course:
Objectives:

This course seeks to introduce students to several key debates concerning globalization and its impact on labor relations and economic development. The aim of the course is to examine various issues from alternative theoretical perspectives and then develop research strategies to further investigate these on-going scholarly and policy-related debates.

Organization/conduction:

Each session will egin with a brief lecture/presentation by the professor, as a way of setting the stage for subsequent discussion. Students are expected to complete all readings for each session as most of the class sessions will be conducted as seminars, with students being asked to discuss and debate the specific readings.
